Reflection of class on Feb.2nd
If you have perceived my brochure, you will find that I implemented many contrasts to highlight important information which I want viewers to pay attention to.
As you can see, I implement three different colors for background to form an obvious contrast. The yellow area is for important contents, the pale yellow area is for supported information like QR codes and necessary notes, and the white area is for decorated bands. These three different colors will help viewers to establish a visual hierarchy from up to bottom, viewers will easily make sense that the contents in yellow area are much more important than other areas.
I choose dark green for headline color and bold italic font for typeface of headline to draw viewers’ eyesight first to let them understand this brochure is about AR technology. For contents in this brochure, I choose normal black color for instructions of AR apps and highlight the name of AR apps in bold and italic because black can form a strong contrast on a yellow background to emphasize instructional sentence for easier reading. As we all know, red color is usually used for quotes or attention, so I choose it for notes in the very left bottom corner to make sure viewers can clearly know where I find these contents and credit original writer.
Although I used these contrasts to highlight relative contents, I still paid attention to the unity of the whole design. I just used four types of color for the whole brochure and chose some variations for particular area to make it more vivid. And I also just chose three typefaces for texts to avoid chaotic view.

Hope for your suggestions about contrast implementation in my brochure.
