Reflection of Special Education

  Special education is the most challenging one of education for educators which need more love, patience and attention. Unfortunately, Chinese education department and people may not make it well.

  There are not many particular specialties for special education in most Chinese educational college, most people won’t choose special education as their specialties because it is difficult for them to put themselves into study if they were lacked of love for special people.

  Actually, special educators always study related knowledge by themselves from internet or other ways and dedicate themselves into special education with their love and enthusiasm for special people. Love for special people is the fundamental concept.

  I can see reserved places for disabled people in public places in America, but I can rarely see it in China except tactile path for blind people. A funny phenomenon is that most people won’t help special people when they in troubles because they worry about the disadvantageous result of “helping”. In some words, Chinese people are a little colder than Americans in relationships with special people. Tracking it to the cause, Chinese people are lack of the love for special people sometimes.

  So, I think special education is not only for special people, but also for cold normal people. They are real special people.
