Reflection of Infographic

  According to the Wikipedia, “infographics are graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge intended to present information quickly and clearly.”

  Compare to traditional ways to express information like texts, simple images or videos, infographic can improve people’s cognition by utilizing graphics to enhance the human visual system’s ability to see patterns and trends, and it’s easier for people to memorize relative information included and construct the particular structure of knowledge in mind.

  There are different websites focused on the infographics for people to use like Canva, Easelly and NerdGraph. People can get some ideas from advanced infographic examples in resource library of NerdGraph, make their ideas into realistic by using dedicated infographic creating tools of Easelly and share it to others easily.

  But in China, people won’t pay more attention to make infographics for presentation because there are not enough professional free dedicated websites for them to do that, they prefer utilize PPT or Keynote for presentation because it’s much more convenient and easier. The newest PPT version provides so many useful and powerful functions that people can make infographics they liked easily by organizing and combine various types of WordArt, graphics and pictures together. And they can also operate infographics in details by using PS to fit their personal needs. But you know, it’s not achievable in America because it cost much money. What a pity.
