Reflection of math
Different from artificial education in China, the mathematic education is the fundamental and essential education for children in views of Chinese government and society.
Although there are educational games for children to study math or other subjects, children are not allowed to play them because their teachers and parents think school education is enough and those so-called educational games won’t work well for children’s study because of low quality and lack of education.
Actually, Chinese children have no time to do that because of heavy and various homework. In Chinese primary school, Chinese and Math are major subjects and teachers will pay more attention to them. Math teachers always set so many assignments for students to do such as different arithmetic and application questions. These questions are really difficult and profound for primary students according to my tutor experience with a fifth grade student, I can’t image that a primary student could do her homework till eleven o’clock like me now. On the contrast, American primary students have after-school time to play mathematic games to consolidate what they learned in class and have less homework to accomplish than Chinese primary students. The way to consolidate what they learned for Chinese students is doing homework.

Of course, Chinese students behave better at arithmetic and geometry than American students because of high intensity and boring training. It’s not a good way for children to do so much homework in math practicing because they always feel very sad when they are in this tough process. But you know in China, children have no authority to do what they want to do without the permission of their parents. So, just work hard on class and homework, games are not belonging to you. It’s a saying in Chinese parents and teachers.
